MyHomeRun ("we", "us", "our") is a family household task management app operated by Sumit Patil as a solo founder. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. What We Collect
Account info — email address and display name, collected when you sign in with Google or email via Supabase Auth.
Household data — tasks, calendar events, and grocery items you create inside the app.
Push notification tokens — device tokens from Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send you reminders.
Voice input — audio transcriptions are sent to OpenAI (GPT-4o-mini) for processing. We do not store your audio or transcriptions on our servers; they are processed in real time and discarded.
Basic analytics — anonymous crash reports and usage metrics to improve the app.
2. How We Use Your Data
To provide and improve the MyHomeRun service (task management, reminders, groceries, calendar).
To send push notifications you have opted into.
To process voice and text input through AI so we can understand your requests.
To communicate with you about your account or important service updates.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) and our backend is hosted on Railway. Both providers use encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices, but no system is 100% secure — we do our best.
4. Third-Party Services
We share data only with the services needed to run the app:
Supabase — authentication and database storage.
Google Sign-In — authentication.
OpenAI — processes voice/text input. Subject to OpenAI's API data usage policy (API inputs are not used to train their models).
Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications.
RevenueCat — subscription management.
Railway — backend hosting.
We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not share your data with data brokers or advertisers.
5. Children's Privacy
MyHomeRun is designed for families, including teens aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child under 13 has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Teen accounts (13–17) should be set up with parental awareness. We collect the same limited data for teen users as for adults.
6. Your Rights
You can:
Access your data — it's all visible in the app.
Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
Export your data by requesting it via email.
Opt out of push notifications through your device settings.
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.
7. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated analytics may be retained.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The updated policy will always be available at myhomerun.app/privacy.
