Terms of Service

Effective date: April 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of MyHomeRun ("the app", "the service"), operated by Sumit Patil ("we", "us", "our"). By using MyHomeRun, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who Can Use MyHomeRun

You must be at least 13 years old to use MyHomeRun. If you are between 13 and 17, you should have a parent or guardian's permission. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.

3. Acceptable Use

MyHomeRun is a household management tool. You agree not to:

Use the service for anything illegal or harmful.
Attempt to access other users' data or households without authorization.
Abuse, overload, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the app beyond normal use.
Use the AI features to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Free trial — new users get a 30-day free trial with full access.
Plans — after the trial, a subscription is required: $3.99/month or $29.99/year.
Billing — subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store via RevenueCat. Billing, renewals, and refunds follow the respective store's policies.
Cancellation — you can cancel anytime through your device's subscription settings. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Price changes — if we change pricing, we will notify you in advance. Existing subscribers keep their current rate until their next renewal after the change.

5. Your Content

You own the content you put into MyHomeRun (tasks, events, grocery lists, etc.). We do not claim ownership of your data. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. AI Features

MyHomeRun uses AI (OpenAI GPT-4o-mini) to process voice and text input. AI-generated interpretations are best-effort and may occasionally be inaccurate. You should review AI-created tasks and events before relying on them. We are not liable for errors in AI processing.

7. Intellectual Property

The MyHomeRun app, brand, design, and code are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the app. Your right to use MyHomeRun is a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license for personal, non-commercial household use.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep MyHomeRun running smoothly, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance, update features, or experience outages. We will do our best to communicate planned downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

MyHomeRun is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You can stop using MyHomeRun and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms, with notice where practical. Upon termination, your right to use the app ends. We will delete your data within 30 days of account deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, please reach out first — we will try to resolve it informally. If we cannot, any legal proceedings will be governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
